Summer is here!

Posted on Jun 16 2022 - 9:10pm
With school out, our Dens have all advanced to the next grade level. The Lions are now Tigers, the Tigers are now Wolves, and so on. If you missed the Pack Meeting June 12, I have your Scout's new neckerchief and slider, plus any awards they have earned since the May Pack Meeting. You can get them from me at the Norfolk Ride the Tide hike Saturday, June 18 or a future meeting over the summer. Please keep an eye on pack901.com and try to attend at least one event each month in June, July, and August. If you do this, your Scout will earn the rank specific Summertime Pack Award pin. If you have unsold Camp Cards still, please either try to sell them or turn them in to Pam Duenas by the end of June. Have a Happy Father's Day on Sunday! Camp Card Sales

Posted on Jun 12 2022 - 9:44am

Camp Card Sales are starting to wind down.  In case you are wondering what camp cards are, they are coupon cards which provide local print coupons as well as national, digital coupon codes which can be redeemed home or away (out of area friends and family can use the codes.)  Each card is $10.  Scouts receive credit for 50% of the total sale of every card.  (Popcorn is 30-40%. This means you would need to sell fewer camp cards to get the same sales benefit for the pack and your scout.)  Cards are still available in counts of ten.  If you have already requested camp cards, June 12th Pack Meeting is the last in person group opportunity to return unsold cards or money or to get more cards as needed.  All cards must be paid for or returned by the end of June.  Please contact Pam Duenas with any questions or to arrange card/money transfers by cell 240-434-1180 or email jpduenas@yahoo.com.

If you attended the campfire and would like a container of campfire ashes, please see/email/text Cubmaster Mike.

BSA Medical Forms part A and B are due

Posted on May 6 2022 - 9:14am

Everyone attending events (whether a Scout, parent, or sibling) must have BSA Medical Form parts A and B on file with the Pack. You do Not have to have a Doctor complete the form (that is part C).  BSA requires up to date Tetanus shots due to typical Scout activities (so a shot record is required. Den leaders and Campout Planners need to be aware of ALLERGIES. As Cub Scouts, Parents generally provide medication for their own scouts. (At the Troop level, a designated Adult Leader performs this service at campouts.)  Once medical forms are complete it is a good idea to maintain a digital copy of the forms so you can resubmit/reuse for Summer Twilight Camp, the Fall Campout, etc.  We ask you please attach a recent photo of your Scout to the medical form for our records as well.

Posted on Apr 15 2022 - 6:58am

For any new Scouts or Scouts who have decided they would like a Pack Activity Hoodie, we are placing a small order very soon.  Please contact Nichole Unruh ndegraaf2907@gmail.com to place your order!  Sweatshirts are not kept in stock.  (Placing an order is a commitment to purchase.) The next opportunity to order will be in the fall at the earliest.  Pack Sweatshirts are great to have for our campouts and hikes.
